2 cups (240g) whole wheat flour plus 1/3 cup (40g) for rolling (use a different flour if your dog is wheat sensitive)
1 cup (52g) quick cook oats
1/3 cup(86g) smooth peanut butter
1 1/4 cup (296g) hot water or broth
1 beef/chicken bouillon cube if using water
1 egg for egg wash (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl (except the 1/3 cup flour) until combined.
Flour surface and turn dough out onto it and roll to about 1/2" thick.
Use cookie cutters or small glasses to cut shapes into dough.
For sheen on the biscuits, brush egg wash over the top.
Bake for 40 minutes then let sit in oven overnight to harden. If you don't have that kind of time, after initial bake time, turn oven to warm setting and allow to dry for 2 hours until treats are crisp.
