How to Roast Garlic

  • 1-2 bulbs garlic
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Foil
  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. Cut off the tops of the garlic bulbs so the cloves are exposed.
  3. Place garlic bulb onto a square of foil. If you are trying to save calories, bring the edges of the foil together and seal. If you want deep brown roasted tops, drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the top of the garlic cloves then seal in foil.
  4. Roast on cookie sheet or on oven rack for 45 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool for a few minutes then using a paper towel, squeeze the roasted garlic into a small ramekin or into your favorite dish.
