Pumpkin Ginger “Beer” Bread with Cinnamon Honey Butter

I don’t know if any of you are old enough to remember the beer bread craze in the 80’s and 90’s but a certain home party company made it a staple in our homes.  I remember mom adding a can of beer or Sprite to it, stirring and boom, instant accolades!  While this mix is still available, it’s $11 and that’s just too much for me to pay for a loaf of bread.  I’m thinking paying about a quarter of the price is more up my alley and it tastes amazing!

Pumpkin puree gives a beautiful color and subtle flavor and spicy ginger ale gives a gorgeous hint of flavor that makes this bread perfect for breakfast or as a vehicle to sop up some sauce at dinner.  The cinnamon honey butter is an amazing complement to add another layer of fall flavor!

  1. Oh my.. Eating it aside, I can imagine how amazing your place smells making this. You probably drive your neighbors nuts with all these yummy smells!

  2. I’m planning to make some pumpkin bread today. It’s that time of year. My mom had a great recipe that she loved to make. She went home to be with the Lord last a year ago and I’m going to miss having it.
