Old Fashioned Cheese Soup

Jump to recipe

Cheese soup.

Just saying it conjures up visions of comforting spoonfuls of love.  Don’t believe me?

Told you.

This recipe comes from the hubby’s side of the family and is soup from a now long defunct tea room they would go to on occasion.  It is rich, velvety smooth and probably has enough sodium to produce heart palpitations if you got super out of control with it.  This batch gave one big serving to the hubs, four cups to his mama and four cups to some friends.  It is truly a delicious soup but the video will give you a hint how to use it another way!  Let’s grill up some ham sammies and go on a dippin’ expedition!

The video shows you how to bring it all together and what the recipe should look like in different stages.

    1. I’ve had cheddar and ale soup but when I heard of this, I had to make it! It is so good and can double as queso with a can of Rotel!
