Everyone is tripping over their lower lip about summer winding down but it’s not over yet!  This Grilled Tropical Salsa is like the best of your real (or wished for) summer vacation in the tropics.  You know, when you tried that new thing at that place with your toes in the sand and a sangria in your hand?
If you didn’t get to go to a tropical location, this sassy addition takes you on a virtual vacation in one bite.

Perfect for fish tacos, on BBQ pork chops, over teriyaki chicken breast or a nice addition to roasted garlic spaghetti squash too!  You can mix and match different fruits that are in season and experiment to find your favorite combo.  Grilling your fruits and onion give such amazing flavor that you didn’t know this is the summer accompaniment you’ve been missing all season!   The video shows you how to bring it all together and what the recipe should look like in different stages.

  1. Hey Mrs. Kringle! Who said summer was winding down?? Not here! I refuse to believe it!! Well, I will just have to make your quick and easy keep-summer-going recipe. This will go with almost all of our grilling parties from now until the real end of summer… in what, October, let’s say! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Fiesta Friday! 😀

    1. Well, according to every email I’ve been getting since August 1st! LOL Apparently they don’t have calendars…43 more days…not that I’m counting down to Fall or anything. (I am!) I hope you love this salsa as much as we do!

  2. I’ve always made salsa with raw vegetables/fruits, never with grilled ones. Looks like that is something I must try out. 🙂
Your grilled summer salsa looks beautiful and so very inviting!

  3. The name got me to stop for sure! This sounds really good and I’m definitely going to try it. Thank you so much for sharing. I bet that would taste so good on top of port tenderloin… yummmmmmmmmm Have a great day! hugs

    1. It is definitely a flavor booster to anything you put it on! I’m making some Friday for company to top our chicken and I know they’re going to love it!

  4. I am one of the few looking forward to the end of summer this year. With triple digit heat index and record rainfall, I’m ready for Fall. I was ready for fall right after spring! Fall is my fav.
Your salsa recipe sounds easy and delicious. I love a good fruity salsa! So glad you share with us at Merry Monday. We love your recipes! Pinned.

    1. Shirley, you and I are peas in a pod! When people start posting “welcome Spring” on their social media, I’m the one posting “92 Days until Fall!!!” As you can imagine, I’m very popular. 😉 I’ve got some great Fall recipes brewing so feel free to stop back and get your Fall on!

    1. I think you’ll love it! Add a can of Rotel’s tomato and green chiles if you want to add a more traditional salsa flair at the end!

  5. Your Salsa looks delicious and we will really enjoy it! Hope you are having a great week and thanks so much for sharing your post with us at Full Plate Thursday!
